Abstract
The production and consumption of Baijiu has great impact on environmental, social, and economic performance in supply chain management. In the face of industry issues like imbalance supply and demand, irrational structure, uneven regional development, resource consumption, and social wellbeing, there is an urgent need for companies to assess sustainability from supply chain perspective. The Chinese economy is developing at a good pace and there is an enormous demand for Baijiu in the country. However, research on the three sustainable dimensions is still sparsity in this field. This paper proposes a framework for identifying environmental, social and economic criteria for Baijiu supply chain, and applies fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (FAHP) for prioritizing criteria. The framework is applied in a real case study at a Baijiu company in China. Economic dimension has been reported as the most important dimension, social second and environmental third. Results from this framework could provide sustainable development and management insights for decision makers in Baijiu industry in China.
