Abstract
This chapter provides an overview of nutrition goals for infants and children with food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES). Two case studies are discussed to illustrate various presentations of the syndrome from a growth and nutrition perspective, as well as examples of appropriate nutrition guidance and interventions. Topics discussed include key nutrients to consider, breastfeeding and the maternal diet, feeding progression and prevention of feeding issues, choosing and trialing novel foods and beverages, and transitioning from an infant to toddler feeding pattern.
