Abstract

One of Bloch’s great contributions to political philosophy was his notion of Ungleichzeitigkeit or the temporal inequality. He demonstrated how most people are often trampled by the rapid movement of changes in short periods of times and how they become susceptible to fascism and authoritarianism. This chapter focuses on the obscenity of inequality.
