Abstract

In this paper, we develop the stochastic degradation model in a control system, which deteriorates over time. The degradation process depends on different operational condition. An actuator can be worked under multiple stress levels. The aim is to improve the reliability of the actuator. We propose to model the degradation in an actuator with a gamma process in order to predict the Remaining Useful Lifetime. Obviously, a maintenance activity can be planned. To illustrate the performances of the approach, we consider a simulated double-tank level control system.
