Abstract
The presented doctoral thesis falls within the very topical area of hydrogen economy. It revolves around proton exchange membrane water electrolyzers (PEM-WEs) and proton exchange membrane regenerative fuel cells (PEM-URFCs); more specifically it investigates the feasibility of using magnetron sputtering for deposition of thin-film, low-noble-metal-loading catalysts for the anode (oxidation) side of these electrochemical devices.
