Abstract

Building from the discussion of decision analytical methods in Chap. 6, Chap. 7 delves further into more mathematically and methodologically complex decisions that require scientifically repeatable tools to solve complex problems. Though not simple, and definitely requiring a significant learning curve to master, such methods and tools as ELECTRE can dramatically improve an organization’s capacity to overcome biases, reduce uncertainties, integrate disparate sources of information, and identify the best path forward in a manner that is seen as institutionally valid and publicly acceptable.

“Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do.”

–Anthony Bourdain (1956 – 2018A.D.)
