Abstract
Appropriate coding and billing for services performed are a critical endeavor for any successful urological practice. While proper coding and billing may be given little attention in urology graduate medical education, it is critical to the success of any urological practice. A solid grasp of the fundamentals of this topic combined with a commitment to pursue ongoing education should allow a urologist to obtain proper reimbursement for work done and minimize the risk of committing fraud and abuse.
