Abstract
A farewell speech addresses the leader’s future absence, but more importantly: it articulates anew the legacy of the organization as something still worth suffering for. The reader will learn to say goodbye with style, look back to his opening speech, share what made his heart sing, show gratitude and don’t be bitter, tell people why all the suffering was worth it, point to the future by utilizing the legacy, and find a way to make people remember his last words.
