Abstract

The paper considers the natural and anthropogenic causes of environmental pollution in the context of the modern urban development. There are analyzed processes of formation of urban agglomerations and the main tendencies of air pollution at increasing density of population and the amount of motor transport on their territory. The classification of modern types of urban smog and methods of dealing with it are given. Analyzed modern scientific research aimed at improving the ecological climate of cities. The main directions of ecologization of the over-urbanized environment in the context of the development of high-rise construction are considered on the basis of modern environmental techniques. These are such systems in the structure of buildings as: aeration, landscape gardening, the use of vertical gardens, modern facade technologies, air cleaning elements. The paper presents an overview of modern high-rise construction projects in which green technologies have been successfully implemented. The analyzed objects are located in the structure of large megacities with a high level of pollution of their atmosphere. It is proposed to introduce competitive architectural designing of futuristic projects while searching the new ways of ecologization of megalopolises.
