Abstract

This chapter is the third and final result chapter of this book. It examines the UK sugar debate (looking at events prior to 2015 and up until 2016). The analysis of the debate sheds light on how power and expertise is used by stakeholders to shape risk communication about public health and safety in a policy context. Like the two previous chapters, the analysis of the debate is within the UK context, focusing on the emergence of the sugar debate until its policy formulation.
