Abstract

Currently the topics about embodiment or embodied knowledge are very popular. The interesting points are widely observed in the research subjects about robot development for the complementary of workers, nursing support for senior citizens, day-life assistance for physically handicapped persons, and so on. These research/development subjects focus on giving equivalent chances to all persons without any exceptions, with a view to solving various kinds of social problems, occurred by the rapid increasing of senior citizens and sharp decreasing of workers. Of course, the popularity for many sorts of human activities such as sports, cultures, etc. has been increasing year by year. In this paper, we discuss the skill training on the basis of characteristics of the embodiment and embodied knowledge in comparison with the knowledge learning with a view to investigating the procedural framework of skill training and establishing the research horizon in the educational/learning field.
