Abstract
Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is an emerging technique for the management of chronic hip and knee pain. While the use of this technique is quite established for lumbar and cervical spine, the literature of the targets and the use of imaging and details of needle placement are emerging. This article summarized the current understanding of the anatomy of the articular branches, sonoanatomy, and the suggested techniques for the hip and knee RFA. The literature on the clinical studies was also reviewed.
