Abstract

Every child with hypertension requires long-term follow-up. The long-term follow-up should be focused on achievement of target BP, assessment of adherence with antihypertensive therapy and non-pharmacological measures and reassessment of target organ damage. The intervals for follow-up checks should be individualized according to achieved BP, adherence and presence of target organ damage.
