Abstract

Nail disorders are commonly found in the population. The most common seen disorders are onychomycosis, paronychia, and periungual warts. Onychomycosis is a common disorder that has to be differentiated from onycholysis. It is usually treated with oral medications. Paronychias are bacterial infections of the nail bed. Treatment can vary from soaks to incision and drainage. Warts in the nail region are very common and often very difficult to treat.
