Abstract

Decision-making is an important task in diverse fields and the used mechanisms often have a long tradition. This article describes situations from voting, scheduling a meeting, and online participation where collective decisions have to be taken. In all these fields digitization offers new possibilities that are not yet fully used. A task for the future is to use this potential in order to improve decision-making from various points of view.
