Abstract
The uterine cervix harbors numerous benign lesions, from infections to pseudoneoplastic processes. Some of these lesions are straightforward, whereas others require a greater degree of examination for appropriate diagnosis since they mimic not only high-grade intraepithelial squamous lesions or dysplasia but adenocarcinomas as well. Immunostains might be needed or recommended to rule out preneoplasia.
