Abstract
The solid metal crystallizes in the tetragonal structure. The complex optical constant \(\varepsilon _{\text {mr}}(\uplambda ) = \varepsilon _{\text {mr}}'(\uplambda )+j\varepsilon _{\text {mr}}''(\uplambda )\) has been taken from [1] and is illustrated in right inset of Fig. 9.1. The atomic electron configuration is \([{\text {Kr}}] 4d^{10}5s^25p^1\). The outer 5s and p electrons form the partially occupied conduction band.
