Abstract

Transesophageal cardiac electrophysiological study (TE-EPS) is noninvasive.

It only needs a catheter, a portable cardiac stimulator, a clip-to-clip cable, and an electrocardiograph machine. Thus, it is convenient to be carried in outpatient department for the diagnosis and therapy of various arrhythmias. It can be used for the evaluation of sinoatrial node function, atrioventricular node function, and induction, termination, and differentiation of supraventricular tachycardia.
