Abstract

Bricks are one of the vital components in Civil Engineering applications. In this era of industrialization, the demand for bricks is increasing enormously. The traditional method of Brick manufacturing involves many labors and high cost. In addition, the time consumed in this method is more. This causes the productivity to decrease and the needs of building constructions cannot be fulfilled. Sometimes because lack of availability of bricks; the construction stops. This paper explains the ‘Advanced Semi-Automatic Brick Manufacturing Machine’ which gives a solution to said problems. The main aim is to highlight a user-friendly and effective brick manufacturing process. The machine has molds of required brick size and volume, it also has a compressing element to firmly ram the brick clay into the mold and form a stiff brick. For operating this whole mechanism, a transmission system is used. The hopper is provided for filling fixed volume of clay in molds. By using minimum labors (one or two), this machine can be operated. In addition, the trouble shooting procedure is easy and any unskilled person can execute it. To increase productivity, decrease labor cost, fulfills the needs of the customer and finally to earn maximum profit from the small investment, the ‘Advanced Semi-Automatic Brick Manufacturing Machine’ helps.
