Abstract

The present publication is a symbol of the appreciation of those who attended to the conference in memory of Welington’s important contribution to the theory of Dynamical Systems. They have sailed in Angra, proved theorems and wrote a book together, but the most valuable thing for them was the friendship they shared. Throughout the text, we will tell the story of how they became friends and scientific partners, telling a bit about Welington’s thesis and its relation to the Stability Conjecture.
