Part of the book series: Comprehensive Healthcare Simulation ((CHS))

Abstract

This chapter summarizes some of the technological advances in medical simulation. There has been much progress, yet still many discoveries remain to be made. There are two overlapping groups in simulation: those who create new technologies and those who create the scenarios that foster and test skills. For further progress, a push for technology advancement is needed, without the requirement of human studies, as well as expertly designed trials of new techniques.
