Abstract

By means of a topographic approach, the territory has been divided into sample areas, covering different ranges of elevation, in order to deal with archaeological topics related to the mountainous landscape. A systematic archaeological survey has been carried out within the selected sample areas and a targeted survey has been planned to deal with specific topics. The excavation of a key site provides a firm point in the absolute chronology. A Geographic Information System (GIS) has been designed for data processing.
