Abstract
For the first time since the 1960s there are realistic schedules for people to once again walk on the Moon. By the end of the 2020s it seems likely that a U. S. astronaut will follow in the footsteps of Gene Cernan and relieve him of the “last man on the Moon” title. SpaceX is the bookmaker’s favorite to provide the technology to reach the Moon first, although there has to be a chance that NASA will join with them and make it a joint government/industry venture.
