Abstract

Subscapularis (SSC) tears are commonly found in conjunction with supraspinatus tears; however isolated SSC tears do occur and account for 4–5% of arthroscopically repaired rotator cuff tears (RCTs). Arthroscopic repair of SSC tears is a safe and successful procedure with improved outcomes in shoulder strength, range of motion, and pain as well as low complication rates. Depending on the type of tear, two surgical options exist. An arthroscopic knotless single anchor is sufficient for Fox and Romeo Type I and II tears, while a double-row anchor is required for Fox and Romeo III and IV tears.
