Abstract
The presence of lymphoid follicles in a skin biopsy is always a pathologic finding and may occur in reactive lymphoid infiltrates and in lymphomas. Most cases of primary cutaneous follicle center lymphoma (PCFCL) are BCL2-negative. However, a significant subset of PCFCL and most cases of systemic/nodal follicular lymphoma are positive with BCL2 immunohistochemistry. Lymphoid follicles in marginal zone lymphoma can be colonized by BCL2-positive neoplastic B cells and mimic BCL2-positive follicular lymphoma.
