Abstract
The article attempts to analyze the intercategorial relations which reflect the significant connection between the elements of the perceptual situation and allow structuring the cognitive activity within the perception of the world. This approach gives the opportunity to get closer to the problem of describing the categorization mechanisms by means of thinking and language. The situation is analyzed at the level of the language/text fragment, in which all of its obligatory components/actants can be explicated. They are connected to the categories of ordinary mentality. The language exponents of these actants are in grammatical-lexical and semantic relations which assume the formation of identity vectors between the cognitive content of the fragment and the denotative situation. The focus is on the relationship between the cognitive components of the reflected situation. As it turns out, the sense of intercategorial interaction is closely correlated with the categorial-grammatical relations in German language: subject-object, attributive, circumstantial, pronominative. Thus, the connections between the linguistic units shed light on the existence and significance of cognitive intercategorial relations as the main components of categorization.
