Abstract
Torsion of small bowel mesentery may occur during IPAA. Attempts to blindly de-torse the small bowel mesentery can further exacerbate the situation. The most definitive way to reorient is to run the entire length of the small bowel from the ligament of Treitz to the terminal ileum.
