Abstract

Diagnostic shoulder sonography has been well documented and established as an accurate tool for evaluation of shoulder pathology. The key components to successful performance of shoulder sonography include an understanding of anatomy with utilization of bony landmarks and the use of standardized protocols. In this chapter we discuss the approach to performing shoulder sonography, relevant anatomy, and relevant interpretation pitfalls.
