Abstract

The article presents a novel ultra-wideband (UWB) multi-input multi-output (MIMO) antenna with high isolation. The proposed MIMO antenna consists of four folded L-shaped strips patch which has very compact size of 2, 2 × 2, 2 mm2. A line-slot is etched on the ground to reduce the mutual coupling on the 60 GHz band. Four other no-ended slots are etched on subtract to improve the impedance matching and to enlarge the bandwidth. Proposed antenna is resonating at 61 GHz. The mutual coupling is less than −15 dB throughout the 60 GHz band. The envelope correlation coefficient is less than 0.006 in the whole operating band. The performances of the proposed antenna indicate that it is a good candidate for UWB applications.
