Abstract
For all dependent parents, parenthood is an undesirable lifestyle. As a society, we actively try to prevent undesirable lifestyles. When behavior harms others, as with sexually transmitted diseases, public health and law enforcement systems intervene. Adolescent and dependent adult parenthood has repercussions far beyond the parents. Its short- and long-term effects harm their babies, their families, and our society.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
