Abstract
The relationship between Israel and Turkey, once based upon shared attitudes about state identity (such as Westernization, secularism, modernism, and stable regional policy), has lost ground. In the period under study in this book, the role of ideology has grown, leading to mutual resentment, condemnation of Israel by the Erdoğan government, and angry Israeli reaction.
