Abstract
Patient adherence to clinical treatment recommendations, while critical to patient outcomes, may be challenging to achieve. This chapter presents and discusses adherence theory with particular application to the rehabilitation of patients with head and neck cancer. Considerations and strategies that may enhance patient adherence will be outlined, and clinical applications will be addressed.
