Abstract

The government is putting forward to promote blocks and open some closed housing estates recently. It brings a heated argument about the influence on traffic capacity of the city. In this thesis, an appropriate evaluation index system is based on Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). With the help of quantitative comparison and programming in C, a mathematical model about traffic capacity influenced by open housing estates of block is well built. It comes out that traffic capacity would be greatly increased by opening more closed housing estates. According to this conclusion, we provide some suggestions of optimizing the traffic to traffic department in the end.
