Abstract

Following the successful isolation of a series of closed-shell tetrylidyne complexes of the general formula [Tp′(CO)2M≡E–R] (M = Mo, W; E = Si – Pb; R = Tbb, C6H3-2,6-Mes2), my next target was to obtain open-shell tetrylidyne complexes containing a tetrel-centered unpaired electron.
