Abstract
Experimental in-situ and laboratory testing of semi-prefabricated RC girder used for erection of the new football stadium Grbavica eastern grandstand is presented in the study. The girder is a continuous L-shaped beam assembled in two phases. First, a thin precast simple span Omnia slab was laid on main frames and used as formwork. Next, concrete was cast in place in order to form the final geometry of the cross section and the continuous beam. Static test load required by design was applied and deflections were measured on site. 3PB test was conducted on a characteristic beam at the structural laboratory of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Sarajevo. Nonlinear finite element model was created in Diana 10.1 employing total strain-based crack model for concrete and von Mises plasticity for reinforcing steel and verified against the experimentally obtained pushover curve. The model was capable of tracing the complete load path from linear phase up until failure. Numerically obtained crack pattern was realistic. Failure mechanism characterized by yielding of reinforcement and crushing of concrete was confirmed in the computational model.
