Abstract
The paper examines the trends of migration flows between the federal districts of the Russian Federation in the period from 2009 to 2016. It was revealed that in the given period the previously noted trend remains, in accordance with which the balance of migration is positive only for the three federal districts, and in the remaining districts there is an outflow of population. In addition, it is noted that in 2012–2013 migration flows reach their maximum, and then their intensity begins to fall. A number of socio-economic factors are considered from the point of view of their influence on migration. On the basis of statistical analysis, two factors were selected from them, based on which the linear regression model was constructed for each year of the period under study. It is noted that, at a qualitative level, the change in the parameters of the regression model corresponds to the trends of migration flows.
