Abstract
This thesis documents studies of \(C\!P\)-violation in charmless three-body \(b \)-hadron decays, using data corresponding to 3\(\hbox {fb}^{-1}\) of luminosity from Run 1 of the LHCb experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. These studies are performed following a search for previously unobserved suppressed \(b \)-baryon decays, and by constructing an amplitude model of the \({{{B} ^+}} \!\rightarrow {{\pi } ^+} {{\pi } ^+} {{\pi } ^-} \) decay.
