Abstract

Screening is a process of testing asymptomatic individuals. In 1968, the World Health Organization proposed a set of criteria to evaluate various screening tests, commonly known as “Wilson’s criteria.” In 2008, with acknowledgement of emerging criteria, the criteria were updated. In this chapter, we consider a variety of screening strategies for the early detection of cancer. There are specific concepts related to screening that will be discussed.
