Abstract
This paper introduces a newly developed visually stimulating iOS-based application MCF for investigating colour’s impact on the brain signals for Brain-Computer Interface development. The application’s main purpose is to streamline the workflow associated with testing different stimuli colour combinations in eliciting brainwaves. Electroencephalograph headset called Emotiv EPOC was used to record the brain signals. Steady State Visual Evoked Potential paradigm was used to elicit the brainwaves. The paper briefly examines the colour science used, explains the development approach as well as presents pilot testing results confirming usability and effectiveness of the application.
