Abstract

The paper considers an approach to the development and implementation of ontology design patterns used in constructing the ontologies of scientific subject domains. Using such patterns allows us to provide a uniform and consistent representation of all the entities of the ontology under development and to save resources and avoid errors typical for ontological modeling. The paper pays a special attention to the development and implementation of this kind of ontology design patterns as content patterns playing an important role in the methodology proposed by the authors for the development of scientific subject domain ontologies.
