Abstract

In this work, first the “friction cam-follower” kinematic pair is presented with its corresponding equations of motion; then a biomedical device based on this kinematic pair is shown: the automatic device for skin biopsy. This article focuses on its kinematic and dynamic models, as well as the corresponding equations of motion. These equations have been implemented in a MatLab code and some results are shown. A more detailed description of this device can be found in the patent text [1].
