Abstract

Efforts to restore and regenerate Yurok cultural practices are currently underway. This chapter considers To the American Indian’s continuing legacy as an academic text, as well as the political implications of its utility as a practical guide for indigenous Californians of the twenty-first century, particularly in the areas of law, justice , rehabilitation, and environmental restoration.
