Abstract

Just as in the surgery of augmentation, so in breast reconstruction, we remain faithful to inflatable implants and for the same reasons:

  • suppleness of use associated with adaptable and variable volume,

  • least foreign body reaction,

  • innocuous content: normal saline has the further advantage of being radio-transparent, unlike silicone gel which makes radiologic surveillance more difficult.
