Abstract
One of the most striking things about medical robots is how few of them there are. Another is the large number of research projects internationally aimed at getting medical robots into Service as early as possible. What is it that has suddenly happened to make robots good news for patients and doctors? And what sort of jobs will medical robots be able to tackle?
