Résumé
Toute pathologie intestinale peut, à un moment quelconque de son évolution, être responsable d’un tableau abdominal aigu. Cliniquement, ce tableau aigu associe des signes généraux et des troubles digestifs. Les signes généraux sont variables mais peuvent engendrer un état de choc avec collapsus cardiovasculaire et agitation. Les signes digestifs, également variables en intensité, sont constitués par des douleurs abdominales lancinantes ou à type de coliques, des nausées, des vomissements, des troubles du transit (arrêt, ou, au contraire, diarrhée, parfois sanglante). L’examen clinique peut être négatif, mais il révèle souvent une contracture ou une défense abdominale localisée ou diffuse, des points douloureux électifs, un météorisme abdominal ou une disparition des bruits intestinaux. Le toucher rectal peut ramener du sang et provoquer une douleur au contact du cul-de-sac de Douglas.
