Abstract

Femoral hernia is an acquired hernia. It is classified as a direct hernia with a trajectory formed by the femoral canal, Nyhus classified it as type III C: a particular defect of the posterior wall. It is an insidious hernia that is asymptomatic ; its small-size and particular position inside the inguino-fernoral fold lead to late diagnosis in over 30% of patients.
