Cancer Treatment An Update

Abstract

A prospective randomized study of Cisplatin and 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) proceeding loco regional treatment (LRT) as compared with LRT alone in squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) in head and neck cancer was conducted from September 1986 to October 1989. This study was designed to test the response rate of induction chemotherapy, the impact upon local regional control and survival.
