Abstract
Increase of breast cancer diagnosis especially of T1 tumors (over 60 % in 1990), decrease of N+ cancers (65 % in 1970, 45 % in 1990), the fact that we know that 30 % patients with N- cancers will metastase within 5 years after the diagnosis do modify indeed our appreciation of classical prognostic factors and especially of the importance of lymphnode involvement. The histoprognostic grade described by Scarff-Bloom and Richardson (SBR) keeps its value despite the large proportion of SBRII which have no specific predictive value [1]. Le Doussal and al [2] showed that SBR (modified SBR) influenced metastasis free survival of N-patients and allowed to recognize low risk and high risk categories.
