L’ECMO (Extra-Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation) est une assistance extracorporelle permettant la suppléance temporaire d’une défaillance cardiaque et/ou pulmonaire sévère grâce à une pompe rotative centrifuge et un oxygénateur à membrane (fig. 1).
