Résumé

Les prothèses servant à traiter les pathologies de la conduction cardiaque (stimulateurs cardiaques ou pacemakers), ou encore à prévenir la mort subite rythmique dans les populations à risque (défibrillateurs implantables) représentent une problématique quotidienne et croissante pour l’imagerie magnétique. Chaque année sont implantés en France environ 50 000 stimulateurs et 10 000 défibrillateurs. Le vieillissement de la population et l’élargissement des indications ont nettement fait progresser ces chiffres ces dix dernières années.
